Experienced Bookkeeper Wanted for Growing CPA Firm

Available: remote part time or remote full time. We are looking more for a good fit than optimal schedule at this time.

Job Description:
We are a dynamic CPA firm seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, client-focused, deadline-conscious and able to work independently in a remote setting. Our clients depend on us for their success, and this role is critical in ensuring they receive accurate and timely financial support to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently record transaction activity for multiple clients, including data transfer from a variety of point of sale systems.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with payroll setup, processing and resolution via third-party payroll solutions.
• Close the books and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for delivery to clients.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel to manipulate data.
• Prepare sales tax workpapers and returns for Colorado and various Colorado cities.
• Cultivate trusting client relationships by phone and email.
• Supervise and train junior staff.

• Completed coursework in accounting (degree not required).
• A deep understanding of accounting concepts and processes is essential.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• A technology-forward orientation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

• Hourly compensation, $28 to $35 per hour.
• Fully remote position, laptop provided.
