||A free 5K fun run to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday while giving back to the community. Participants receive a FREE entry with the donation of non-perishable food or gently used winter clothing.
||Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 23
||The run will start in front of the Louisville Public Library on Front Street. The flat, family-friendly course winds through downtown Louisville and into the surrounding neighborhoods.
- Donations will be given to the Sister Carmen Community Center, a comprehensive assistance program for local families in need.
- Over the years the event has welcomed more than 25,000 runners and collected over 40,000 pounds of food as well as 4,000 cubic feet of donated clothing.
- After crossing the finish line, runners can meet some of the supporting local businesses and enjoy post-trot Liquid Mechanics beer, Bittersweet coffee or hot chocolate.
- Registration is required at no cost at www.louisvilleturkeytrot.com. Online registration (a.k.a. waiver signing, as it is a FREE event) is available through November 22nd and walk up registration will be available race morning.
