Jun 2    The ABCs of BD: You can only improve what you measure
The ABCs of Business Development is an ongoing series of virtual workshops covering foundational business development topics.

Metrics...what a sexy word! No, really - it's true. The more you can measure key aspects in your business development efforts, the better. Metrics are hugely helpful and motivating. They keep you grounded in facts, not emotions. They help you diagnose micro (or even macro) issues in your BD processes and systems. They can shine light on ways to be even more successful and win more business. So if you resist analyzing data, it's time to start embracing it. Metrics truly can be your best friend and supporter of your business!

BONUS! The register fee also includes a 2nd session devoted to a group discussion where you can share ideas and glean best practices from other attendees. It's two weeks later on Tuesday, June 16th from 11am to 12pm. See FAQs on the Eventbrite page for more info about the format of The ABCs of Business Development.

Jun 4    June Building Connections Networking Event (N. Suburbs & Boulder Co.)

While this event is intended for business networking, it is still very much a laid-back vibe. Business cards, elevator pitches, and professional attire are all optional! But definitely come ready to have purposeful conversations that hopefully lead to beneficial outcomes for everyone involved.

We welcome all industries and professions. Feel free to bring others who enjoy networking so we can maximize the number of connections made!

Reminders:

  1. Be respectful and welcoming to all attendees. This includes having true dialogue with others, not one-sided sales pitches.
  2. Similarly, be respectful to the organizer - only RSVP if you are truly coming and make your best effort to give as much advance notice if you need to cancel. This also helps anyone on the Waitlist get a chance to come.
  3. Events are free and you pay for what you drink. Please consider buying something to support the venue; they are generously donating the space to us.

If you like networking and don't mind heading into Denver, we also host a Building Connections in Denver in the odd months. Check out our Eventbrite profile page to see all other events.

NOTE: While Go Grow Coaching is a member of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, this networking event is separate and independent of the Chamber's programming. Go Grow Coaching takes advantage of its membership perks, which includes posting events on the Chamber's calendar.

Jun 17    Everyday EQ: Practical social and emotional intelligence skills to enhance your life and work

Everyday EQ is a monthly virtual workshop exploring practical social and emotional intelligence skills to enhance your life and work.

The four tenets of emotional intelligence (per Daniel Goleman) are:

  1. Self-awareness
  2. Self-management
  3. Social awareness
  4. Relationship management

The gist of EQ is the more you know yourself, the better you're able to make smart decisions that positively influence your life. Self-knowledge leads to more high-functioning habits, mindsets, and behaviors. As your self-awareness increases, it's only logical that your understanding of others will also increase. You expand your abilities to empathize, resolve conflicts, and generally connect with others more genuinely and purposefully...which helps you optimize every personal and professional relationship in your life.

Thus, EQ is no small thing! But how do you take these abstract concepts and apply them to your every day? This is the goal of Everyday EQ. Let's make EQ something like going to the gym or brushing your teeth - a daily, nearly automatic investment that has long-term returns.

BONUS! The registration fee also includes a second session devoted to a group discussion where you can share ideas and glean best practices from other attendees. It's two weeks later on Wednesday, July 1st from 9:30 to 10:30am MT. Visit Eventbrite for more info about the format of Everyday EQ.

Jul 15    Everyday EQ: Practical social and emotional intelligence skills to enhance your life and work

It's two weeks later on Wednesday, July 29th from 9:30 to 10:30am MT. Visit Eventbrite for more info about the format of Everyday EQ.

Aug 6    August Building Connections Networking Event (N.

Sep 16    Everyday EQ: Practical social and emotional intelligence skills to enhance your life and work

It's two weeks later on Wednesday, Sept. 30th from 9:30 to 10:30am MT. Visit Eventbrite for more info about the format of Everyday EQ.

Oct 1    October Building Connections Networking Event (N.

Oct 22    Contract Opportunities Summit

Overview

Contract Opportunities Summit is a focused, half-day event designed to help small businesses understand how to do business with local municipalities across Colorado.

About This Event

The Summit offers a hands-on introduction to public-sector contracting, with a strong emphasis on opportunities in local government.

Hosted by the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) serving Boulder County, the Summit will feature certification and contracting trainings, representatives and procurement professionals from local municipalities and school districts, as well as regional and state agencies and other local public-sector partners. Attendees will gain practical insight into how local and regional government procurement works, what they look for in qualified vendors, and how to prepare and position their businesses to compete for public contracts.

Unlike the full-scale Contract Opportunities Expo, the Summit is intentionally smaller and more interactive, creating space for meaningful conversations and targeted workshops. Whether you're new to government contracting or looking to strengthen your local municipal pipeline, this event is designed to help you build confidence and connections.

Nov 18    Everyday EQ: Practical social and emotional intelligence skills to enhance your life and work

It's two weeks later on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd from 9:30 to 10:30am MT. Visit Eventbrite for more info about the format of Everyday EQ.

Dec 3    Coffee Talk - Monthly Meetup - December 2026
The first Thursday of every month, we team up with local business Scott’s Roofing to host Coffee Talk—a beloved community tradition built around connection, conversation, and collaboration. Whether you’re a regular or joining us for the first time, this casual morning meetup is designed for easy, no-pressure networking and meaningful connections!

Each Coffee Talk spotlights two Chamber members who will share a 10-minute presentation about their business and/or a topic tied to their industry or expertise—giving attendees a chance to learn, ask questions, and get inspired. They also bring a breakfast item for the group.

Our featured businesses this month are Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence and TBA.

A special thank you to our coffee provider for this month: ShortD's!

Dec 3    December Building Connections Networking Event (N.
